Affordable Housing For Sale???

| Looking for affordable house to buy. 2 or 3 bedrooms, 1 or 2 baths. Everything is priced so outrageously. Prefer out of the Hammond area in the outer surrounding areas, Kentwood, Loranger, Springfield. Is rural less expensive?? Because anything in Hammond is priced crazy. Affordable to me is about 80-85K, you used to be able to get a decent home for about that, afterall, I'm a hard working single mom. These houses that run 100K and up to 168K and beyond into 200K and higher is rediculous. How does the regular joe or in my case 'regular jane' afford that kind of housing??? CRAZY....CRAZY.....CRAZY..... I will just keep looking. I have lived here all my life and have never seen anything like this ever before. It's partly due to a sign of the times and partly due to greed on the landowners part. But thats just my opinion. |
